No account
No email, no password, no profile. Nothing to hack on a server, nothing that can leak.
Privacy
heatmeUp is built local-first: no account, no server for your journal, no tracking tools in the app. Here is exactly what lives where.
| Data | Where it lives | Who can access it |
|---|---|---|
| Profiles, encounters, notes | Encrypted storage on your phone | Only you |
| Profile photos | The app’s local files | Only you |
| Health tracking (PrEP, tests, STIs, reminders) | The app’s local storage, on your phone | Only you |
| Address search | Query passed to a mapping service, with no logging | Nobody keeps it |
| CSV backup | Wherever you choose to keep it | You, and whoever you decide |
| Usage analytics | None: the app ships no analytics tools | — |
No email, no password, no profile. Nothing to hack on a server, nothing that can leak.
A 6-digit passcode, never stored in plain text, plus Face ID or fingerprint. The app relocks as soon as you leave it.
Names cut to an initial, blurred photos, hidden numbers and charts, hidden kinks, parties and health.
Turn the option on and three quick shakes toggle incognito. Off by default.
Location, photos, notifications: the app only asks when you use the feature that needs them.
Full CSV export (profiles, health, lists), restore with merge, and a reminder after 60 days without a backup.
Try it
Switch incognito on and watch your list disappear. In the app, three shakes are enough.
What gets hidden
